Subramanian Swamy takes on Arvind Subramanian again, terms his continuance 'tolerance'
NEW DELHI: In a fresh attack on Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has linked his continuance at the job to 'tolerance' by the government, referring again to his past attacks on the economist. "Arvind S called Namo a mediocre leader, efficient in riots & asked US to grill India in WTO for drug cos mkt access, is CEA! Tolerance!!," Swamy tweeted on Sunday morning. In the past, Swamy has taken on both Subramanian and his longtime associate, former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan.

The BJP MP, however, supported the appointment of Urjit Patel to the post of RBI governor after some tweets were directed to him on the matter. When one Twitter user criticised Patel for being a Kenyan national, Swamy retorted, "He is not Kenyan citizen but was. R3 was born Indian & chose to continue his US Green Card even though in India from 2007." Swamy has referred to Raghuram Rajan as R3.
