GUWAHATI: One of the prime accused in the sub inspector recruitment scam, former DIG PK Dutta, was nabbed at Indo-Nepal Border.

Dutta was absconding. Assam police in a statement stated, "Dutta has been detained at International Indo-Nepal Border on the strength of look out notice issued by CID Assam. Now handed over to West Bengal Police. Assam Police would take him in custody in due course and bring him to Assam.”

He was nabbed at Kakarbhitta in Nepal, along with his daughter, and has been repatriated to India.

The question paper of the September 20 Sub-Inspector recruitment exams was leaked, causing the exams to be cancelled, creating flutters in the state. Around 60,000 candidates applied for the exam.
