In a big statement, Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari said that the BJP should now stop "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas." Adhikari asserted that the time has come when party should prioritize those who support them. During the event, he also chanted "Jai Shri Ram" and declared the intention to protect Hindus and the Constitution.

Speaking at a BJP organizational meeting, Adhikari stated, "We do not need to talk about Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas. We will decide who supports us, and we will support them. Stop this talk of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. There is no need for a minority front."

Adhikari's statement is significant as it diverges from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inclusive slogan of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas." By distancing from this inclusive approach, it suggests the BJP's strategic shift in Bengal towards focusing on Hindu vote consolidation. Adhikari's comments hint at the BJP becoming more aggressive on this front.

He further elaborated, "We will win and save the Hindus and the Constitution. Until now, we spoke about nationalist Muslims and Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. But now we will not say this. Whoever stands with us, we will stand with them. There is no need for a minority front."

During his speech, Adhikari kept raising "Jai Shri Ram" slogan three times, reinforcing his message.

The West Bengal BJP faction believes that Muslim votes have largely consolidated under Mamata Banerjee's TMC, which benefitted her party. On the other hand, Hindu votes appeared to be divided. Consequently, the BJP aims to focus on consolidating Hindu votes for electoral gains.
