Stop propaganda: Pak Assembly to India

Pakistan, which has been bouncing between denial and bluster, on Wednesday asked India to end the “hostile propaganda” against it.

Pakistan, which has been bouncing between denial and bluster, on Wednesday asked India to end the hostile propaganda against it, reports Our Political Bureau. A resolution passed by its National Assembly that bordered on the ridiculous asked India to respond positively to its offers of cooperation in investigating the Mumbai attacks.

The National Assembly, Pakistan's lower house of Parliament, unani-mously passed a resolution expressing support for the government and urged New Delhi to reciprocate Islamabad's efforts to defuse tension.

The National Assembly of Pakistan calls upon India to respond to the constructive proposals made by Pakistan government. The house condemns the war hype in a situation where war is not an op-tion given the nuclear capabilities of both countries, the resolution said.

Pakistan has chosen to ignore the fact that everything from cell phones to the training are traceable to the above-the-ground surro-gates of the banned Lashkar-e -Toiba.

Indian side has been asking Islamabad to come out of the denial mode and address the problem directly. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and external affairs minister had on Tuesday asked Pakistan to avoid war hysteria and act against militants.
