Stay abreast of latest counter-terrorism strategies: Kiren Rijiju

HYDERABAD: Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju today exhorted security forces to remain vigilant to tackle terrorism and be abreast of the latest counter-terrorism strategies and technology.

According to an official release issued here, the minister spoke after attending a function at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVP-NPA) here to mark the valedictory session of the Third Counter Terrorism Course and 31st IPS Induction Training Course.

Addressing course participants as well as IPS officer trainees, he acknowledged the extremely difficult task performed by security forces to maintain order and internal security, the release said.

Earlier, he laid a wreath at the martyrs' memorial and inaugurated the newly-constructed officers' club building at the academy, the release said.
