State Assembly polls: Maharashtra BJP workers celebrate Jharkhand, J&K results

MUMBAI: BJP workers celebrated the party's performance in Jharkhand as well as Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.

Sweets were distributed outside the Maharashtra state BJP office in South Mumbai and firecrackers were set off to celebrate the poll performance.

Maharashtra state BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari told reporters here today that the latest poll results show that the BJP's victory run which began in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh polls, has continued.

"The BJP has secured the win due to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the organisational acumen of party president Amit Shah," Bhandari said.

The BJP would also emerge victorious in Bihar as well as Uttar Pradesh, Bhandari said.
