Srinagar freezes at -8.8°C, breaks record of 30-years
Srinagar residents woke up to a chilly morning with -8.8 degree Celsius on January 31. Heavy snowfall in the city plummeted the temperature. Extreme weather conditions disrupted normal lives, making it difficult for elder population to step out of houses.
