Sri Lankan Navy rescues four Indian fishermen

COLOMBO: At least four Indian fishermen have been rescued by the Sri Lankan Navy today near the northern coast of the island nation.

The acting Naval spokesman, Lieutenant Commander Janaka Gunawardena, said the distressed fishermen were spotted off the Talaimannar coast in the north.

The Indian High Commission has been informed about the incident, Gunawardena added.
