RAMESWARAM (TAMIL NADU): A Sri Lankan court today extended till December 5 the judicial remand of 24 Tamil Nadu fishermen, a senior functionary of a local fishermen association said.

The fishermen of Rameswaram, Pudukottai and Nagapattinam were arrested by the Lankan Navy on different dates when they were fishing in mid-sea, S Emiret, Rameswaram fishermen organisation president said.

They were produced in the Oorkavalthurai court and the court magistrate extended their remand, he said, adding, the fishermen were lodged in Jaffna prison.
