Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat against India in a critical tri-series game at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.

ADELAIDE: Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat against India in a critical tri-series game at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.

India made one change in their line-up with young Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Praveen Kumar replacing paceman S Sreesanth.

Opener Virender Sehwag sits out for the second game in a row. Sri Lanka has Nuwan Kulasekara making way for Ishara Amarasinghe.

India have eight points from five matches while Sri Lanka have six from four. Hosts Australia are sitting pretty with 17 points from five games.

Teams: India: Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma and Munaf Patel.

Sri Lanka: Sanath Jayasuriya, Tillakratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Chamara Silva, Chamara Kapugadera, Fervez Maharoof, Muthiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Lasith Malinga and Ishara Amarasinghe.
