Spiritual Guru Ravi Shankar, Lord Swaraj Paul honoured

Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and NRI industrialist Lord Swaraj Paul were honoured by the Young Vegetarian Society and a Hindu group in London.

LONDON: Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and NRI industrialist Lord Swaraj Paul were honoured by the Young Vegetarian Society and a Hindu group.
While 'Art of Living' founder Sri Ravi Shankar was presented with the Mahaveer Award for his peace initiatives and promoting non-violence and universal brotherhood, Lord Paul was given an Honorary Award for promoting vegetarianism and ethical values.
The function was organised in the House of Commons Thursday evening.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also held separate meetings with British Environment Minister David Miliband and the Minister in charge of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Barry Gardiner.
