Special Crime Branch of CBI resends notice to TMC general secretary Subrata Baxi
Special Crime Branch probing Saradha ponzi scam has resent notice to Triamool Congress all-India General Secretary seeking details of party's accounts.

A CBI source told that the notice has been sent to Subrata Baxi who is now holding the post after the recent exit of Mukul Roy who fell out of favour with the party.
The agency had asked details of sources of income of the party during the period 2010-2013 and also the expenditure pattern.
The party had been given a week's time to respond to the notice. The source said that after going through all the documents, CBI would decide on whether to interrogate Baxi and Roy.
"We will decide on whether to interrogate both the persons after going through the documents", the source said.
Roy was earlier quizzed by CBI in the Saradha case, soon after which he had started to apparently disassociate himself from Trinamool Congress.
Before resending the notice to Baxi, a CBI officer had called up the Trinamool Bhavan office asking for him. This move of the agency had irked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
