Special border personnel meeting on Indo-China border

Army personnel of India & China held a border meeting at the 15,000 feet high Bumla Pass for improving peace & friendship.

ITANAGAR: Army personnel of India and China held a border meeting at the 15,000 feet high Bumla Pass in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh for improving peace and friendship.

Ahead of the meeting on Tuesday, both the delegations contributed a stone each at the Heap of Stones on the Indo-China border for harmonious relationship, defence spokesperson said here today.

The two sides interacted to resolve border issues and for improving peace and friendship along the border with the Chinese delegation hosting the Indians, he said.

The meetings are held four times a year, on May 30 and August 15 on the Indian side and October 1 and 30 on the Chinese side, he said.

The meetings have been a vital platform for resolving local issues to enhance peace in the sector.
