NEW DELHI: A notice of breach of privilege against Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy given by a Congress member for allegedly misleading the Lok Sabha over the issue of non-participation of Kerala Chief Minister at a function in the state, is under the consideration of the Speaker.

"The notice is under consideration," Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said during Zero Hour when K C Venugopal (Cong) sought to know the fate of his notice.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had recently written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing displeasure at the way central ministers 'misled' Parliament over his omission from the list of invitees for the unveiling ceremony of a statue of former Chief Minister R Sankar.

Chandy had reportedly said the PMO failed to intervene to avoid the controversy and it was not due to his inconvenience that he could not attend the function.

Venugopal had claimed that Rudy had said in the Lower House that Chandy had written to the Prime Minister informing about his inconvenience citing some other engagement.
