SP only carried out "cosmetic development" of UP: BJP

LUCKNOW: The BJP today attacked the Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh saying that it carried out only "cosmetic developent" in the state and was budy looting the government treasury.

" Akhilesh Yadav did only cosmetic development of Uttar Pradesh and was busy in looting the government treasury," state general secretary of BJP Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.

He claimed that with the inspection of Gomti River Front by Chief Minister Aditya Nath Yogi, the reality of Akhilesh's development work stands exposed.

"In the last 15 years, public money has only been looted in the name of development. The chain of anomalies which has emerged from the inspection of Gomti River Front, will move further," he said.

Yesterday, the Gomti riverfront project was inspected by Chief Minister Adityanath, who expressed dissatisfaction over its progress.

Pathak said the BJP government will fulfil all its commitments mentioned in its election manifesto, he said and added the government will fix the date for completion of work in all projects to ensure speedy development of the state.
