SP has agenda of development: Akhilesh Yadav
BAHRAICH | SHRAVASTI: Accusing other political parties of taking Uttar Pradesh and the country in the wrong direction, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said that development was the main agenda of Samajwadi Party government.

On the 'shilapujan' performed in Ayodhya, Akhilesh said that SP had always checked the designs of communal forces and in this case the government would work in accordance with the law and the Constitution.

He advised the media not to rake up the issue and let the society to be united.

Addressing a meeting in neighbouring Shravasti district, Akhilesh in a veiled attack on BJP said, "Those who were calling the laptops we gifted earlier as 'jhunjhunas'. What would they term mobile phones under Digital India. We talk about development, whereas other parties indulge in politics in the name of conversion, love jihad and cow."

He said that the Centre withdrew funds for several schemes from the state, which gave 70 MPs to the Centre.

"Those who promised 'ache din' failed to bring any," he said.
