SP condemns attack on its New Delhi office

Samajwadi Party today strongly condemned Sri Ram Sena (SRS) for ransacking its central office in New Delhi yesterday and termed it as very unfortunate and against democratic norms.

LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party today strongly condemned Sri Ram Sena (SRS) for ransacking its central office in New Delhi yesterday and termed it as very unfortunate and against democratic norms.

"Samajwadi Party has always stood up for secularism and warns the communal forces to desist from practices which could harm the unity and integrity of country", party spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhay said here today.

He said that SP had always been against the communal forces and has never compromised with its secular credentials. The party would never ever succumb to any such attempts, Chaudhary said.

According to the party, the attack was in retaliation to the comments made against slain Delhi police Inspector M C Sharma by SP general secretary Amar Singh.

Sri Ram Sena (SRS) general secretary, Binay Kumar Singh had acknowledged that his supporters had entered the premises of the SP office in New Delhi and damaged vehicles parked inside the premises. Chaudhary demanded a ban on right-wing outfits like Bajrang Dal and others.
