SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's statement indicative of his frustation: UP BJP head Laxmi Kant Bajpai
LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh BJP head Laxmi Kant Bajpai today said Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's statement on an alliance with the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party was indicative of his frustration.

"Mulayam's statement regarding alliance with the BSP is indicative of his frustration. It seems the statement is given to save each other on the issue of corruption," Bajpai told reporters here.

He said such a statement showed that despite having a clear majority, the ruling SP has accepted its "defeat".

Mulayam today suggested if Lalu Prasad Yadav takes an initiative, he does not mind joining hands with the BSP.

However, Mayawati firmly said there is no question of joining hands with the SP to fight assembly polls.
