SP, BJP hits back BSP supremo Mayawati
Refuting Mayawati's allegation that BJP was benefitting only capitalists, BJP spokesman said it was the NDA government which reduced the price of petrol and diesel, and launched Jan Dhan scheme.

"Mayawati is levelling baseless allegations to avoid questions being raised by those, who were once her trusted lieutenants. It shows her desperation after BSP drubbing in last year's Lok Sabha elections," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.
The BSP chief while addressing a press conference on her birthday today had alleged that the central government was not working in the interest of the common people but implementing the hindutva agenda of its main organisation RSS.
Also, she said, the BJP government was benefitting the capitalists, and dalits, backwards and religious minorities were being neglected.
BJP, he said, talk about 'sabka saath, sabka vikas' and people supported it in Lok Sabha elections.
"We are a political party and we will expand among all sections of the society. Why Mayawati is worried about that? She is repeatedly trying to clarify Dalits were with her," he said.
Refuting Mayawati's allegation that BJP was benefitting only capitalists, Pathak said it was the NDA government which reduced the price of petrol and diesel, and launched Jan Dhan scheme.
"After all, these measures would benefit all sections of the society, including Dalits," he said.
The BJP spokesman said several BSP leaders have admitted and alleged that ticket was distributed in lieu of money.
Meanwhile, ruling SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary alleged that the BSP supremo was self-obsessed and levels baseless allegations against the government.
"Praise is something which is done by others, but opposite was happening in BSP. The party supremo narrates story of her so called success every year and get a book published on the occassion. It contain stories of struggles which never happened in reality," he alleged.
Chaudhary said once again Mayawati has levelled baseless allegations against SP government in Uttar Pradesh.
"She had been raising law and order right from the day SP came to power. She is unable to see development of the state. Rejecting achievements of SP government reflects her low level mentality," he alleged.
Chaudhary alleged that several leaders, who had been active in BSP for years, have alleged that rate was fixed for every post and work in the party.
"This is a wrong tradition in a democracy which erodes moral values in the politics," he said.
