Soon Delhi will be most preferred for doing business: Manish Sisodia
NEW DELHI: In its maiden Budget, the AAP government today made overtures towards the business community by promising to put an end to "license raj" although the proposals were devoid of anything concrete to attract immediate investment.

In the post-budget press interaction, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal invited the finance, services and the industrial sector to set up units in Delhi promising them a "business friendly environment".

Although Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia did not make any major announcements in his speech towards facilitating 'Ease of doing business', he said it was a term that has been "loosely used and conveniently interpreted".

"This government fully understands the contours and objectives of 'ease of doing business' and thereby an empowered committee has been constituted which shall review the existing licensing system and will suggest measures including moving towards single window clearance system by July 31," he said.

Sisodia said AAP government will "ensure" the end of Inspector raj and promised to augment infrastructure in all 29 industrial areas of Delhi.

"This government assures them that Delhi will soon become the most preferred location for doing business because of ease and speed of decision making," he said.
