Sonia lashes out at LF govt

ISLAMPORE: Hundred days work, mid-day meal and farm loan waiver will top Congress agenda. This was stated by Congress president Sonia Gandhi at a huge public meeting in Islampore under the Raiganj Lok Sabha Constituency on Monday.

She strongly criticised the Left Government in West Bengal for "not able to do some good for poor people of the state".

But, she remained silent against the BJP. Though the location was adjacent to Darjeeling and the meeting had number of people from there, unexpectedly, she remained silent on the Gorkhaland issue.

On her way back, Ms Gandhi got stranded in Bagdogra airport for about an one hour due to some technical difficulties in the airport helipad and runway area.
