Sonia Gandhi’s road show in PM Narendra Modi’s Varanasi on August 2

NEW DELHI: Sonia Gandhi will do a road show in Varansi, PM Narendra Modi’s constituency, on August 2, marking her entry into the Congress’ election campaign for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

According sources, Gandhi’s outing in Varanasi will be to stir up the Congress cadres as well to register her critique of “the failure” of the Prime Minister to deliver the promised developmental work in the holy city. This would be Gandhi’s first visit to Varanasi since the formation of the Modi government. Gandhi, along with Rahul Gandhi, will also flag off at AICC on Saturday a three-day Congress bus yatra.
