Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi to campaign for Jammu and Kashmir elections next week

JAMMU: Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi will campaign next week in favour of the party candidates for the upcoming state elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

"AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will visit J&K to campaign for party candidates in the third week of this month," Chairman of Congress's control room and MLC, Gulam Nabi Monga, said today.

The two star campaigners will address rallies each in Chenab Valley of Jammu region and Kashmir Valley, he said.

In the first phase of state elections, Congress has fielded 15 candidates in 15 assembly segments, which will go to polls on November 25.

Congress's list of 40 star campaigners for J&K assembly polls include: Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Ambika Soni, Ahmed Patel, Digvijay Singh, Virbhadra Singh, Anand Sharma, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sachin Pilot, Salman Khurshid and Shakeel Ahmad among others.
