Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi Congress' star campaigners for Bihar polls

NEW DELHI: The Congress has submitted to the Election Commission a list of so-called 'star campaigners' including many senior AICC functionaries, PCC presidents, party chief ministers who would be backing up Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in leading the party’s Bihar election campaign.

Apart from the two Gandhis, the names of the Congress campaigners submitted to the election Commission include senior leaders such as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Digvijaya Singh, Ashok Gehlot, Meira Kumar, Shakheel Ahmed, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sheila Dikhsit, Bihar PCC president Ashok Chowdhary. The list also includes some Congress chief ministers such as Vir Bhadra Singh, Harish Rawat and some PCC leaders. The Congress is contesting in 40 seats.
