Sonia Gandhi leaves for short visit abroad

NEW DELHI: Congress President Sonia Gandhi today left for a short visit abroad.

"Gandhi is currently travelling on a short international visit for personal reasons", party's chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala said.

No further details were available about the visit and the talk in party circles was that she will be away for a week.

Rahul Gandhi is also likely to leave the country for a few days for the same reasons but there was no confirmation as yet.
