Sonia Gandhi attends Iftar party in Rae Bareilly

UNCHAHAR-RAE BAREILLY: Congress party president Sonia Gandhi attended an Iftar party here on Friday during the holy month of Ramadan. Sonia, who is on a two-day visit to Rae Bareilly, her parliamentary constituency, also met flood victims in Unchahar district.

At least 100 people have died as a result of floods in Uttar Pradesh. She also paid a visit to the residence of Congress worker Sunil Agrihari who had passed away last month at Maharajganj.

Since 2004, Sonia has undertaken extensive development work in the region, which now boasts of new colleges, improved health care centres and industrial units.
