NEW DELHI: Making her first public comment on the recent Tehelka sting operation on Gujarat riots accused, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has said the `revelation’ has once again reminded the Congress men and others the need to launch a “united fight against the evils of communalism”.

Delivering her speech at a function here to present the Indira Gandhi national integration award, Ms Gandhi said: “In the wake of the recent revelation, it is all the more important for every Congress men to keep up their fight against communal forces. If we don’t fight this kind of evils (hevaniyath), it will destroy the very secular foundation of the country”.

Her comments come just two days ahead of she launching the Congres election campaign in Gujaray by addressing a rally at Anand.
