Sonia and Rahul Gandhi should take two-year break to allow others to emerge: Jagmeet Brar
Brar demanded the party should discuss the A K Antony committee report on the election defeat to come up with "constructive remedies".

He also demanded that close advisors of Sonia and Rahul should resign after owning moral responsibility for the 2014 defeat.
A former CWC member and AICC general secretary, Brar said the break from politics for the Gandhi family would not do much harm to the party while the Gandhis can make a comeback after a brief respite.
He said the resignation of Gandhis' advisors would build the confidence of party workers in states.
Brar demanded the party should discuss the A K Antony committee report on the election defeat to come up with "constructive remedies".
The outburst comes amid serious crisis for the Congress which, reeling under a massive Lok Sabha defeat, is gripped with the leadership conundrum with partymen questioning the credentials of heir apparent Rahul Gandhi.
Also, Brar said the party should withdraw the showcause notice to Haryana leader Birender Singh. He said Congress was taking the wrong direction by pushing out state leaders with proven credentials and loyalty like Rajya Sabha MP from Haryana. The latter has been served a notice for meeting BJP chief Amit Shah and seems to be on his way out.
According to the Punjab leader, the notice to Birender should be reconsidered in view of his contribution to the party over 42 years.
