Some states trying to create water dispute: Uma Bharti
MATHURA: Union Minister Uma Bharti today said some states are trying to create water dispute although she asserted that Uttar Pradesh would get its share of water.

"Some states are trying to create water dispute (but) UP would get its share of water," Bharti, who made surprise inspection at some famous Yamuna ghats here, said without taking any names.

"The state (UP) would not be allowed to suffer and if needed, its share would be given from the Central pool," she said.

When asked about the pitiable condition of Yamuna, the Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, said, " Union government led by Narendra Modi is committed to ensure Yamuna pollution free."

"However, it is not only the responsibility of Union government. The state government should also share the responsibility," she said.

Appealing public to take part in cleaning of Yamuna, Bharti said, "Yamuna can not be made clean without proper participation of public."
