Among the districts, Chennai continued to report the maximum number of cases with 1150 people testing positive for Covid-19 on Monday.
Chennai: Tamil Nadu saw under 6000 cases on Monday after reporter two days of over 6,000 cases.

As many as 5956 people tested positive on Monday, which came as a relief after 6495 people tested positive on Sunday.

This took the total tally in the state to 428,041.


The number of deaths remained under 100 with 91 people succumbing to the infection on Monday. The state bulletin confirmed that 7322 people have died due to the infection so far.

As many as 6008 people were discharged, pushing total recoveries to 368,141 on Monday.

Among the districts, Chennai continued to report the maximum number of cases with 1150 people testing positive for Covid-19 on Monday.

Testing came down marginally with 73,097 people being tested on Monday. On Sunday, however, testing touched an all-time high with 80,100 persons being tested.
