Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case: Suspension of 2 more officers to be revoked
GANDHINAGAR: After Girish Singhal, the whistleblower IPS from Gujarat involved in the snooping scandal, it may now be turn of the suspended IPS officers Abhay Chudasma and Rajkumar Pandian to be reinstated in the service. Both Chudasma and Pandian were arrested in Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case and are currently out on bail.

Unless the investigation against the officers throws up some tangible evidence, there is no reason why their suspension should not be revoked, a top Gujarat Police official told ET, adding, "Maybe they will not be given important portfolios, but they cannot be kept under suspension for so long without tangible evidence against them."

Singhal was reinstated by the state government last week. Singhal, who was arrested by the CBI in Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case, had deposited two pen drives before the probing agency, spilling the beans on the scandal.
