SNDP may announce political party by December

KOCHI: The Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam is likely to announce the formation of a political party by December 2015. This was announced by SNDP General Secretary Vellapaly Natesan.

Speaking to reporters at the end of a meeting convened to discuss he formation of a political party, Natesan said that the consensus in the meeting was that the time was ripe for the formation of a party by the SNDP and that there was a space for the third front.

He said that the objective of the party was not to bring to gether all Hindu communities and that the new party will be floated as a secular party .

The SNDP leadership will discuss the formation of the party with other communities before taking a final decision.

He said that the SNDP is organising a Rath Yatra in the state. The announcement of the formation of the party is likely to happen at he end of the Yatra. "The formation of the party is a necessity," he said.

Natesan said that the BJP will open its account in Kerala in the next Assembly polls. In the local body polls, SNDP candidates will ake the support of all those who are willing to support them.
