Smart City project: Odisha government urged to recommend Berhampur as candidate

BERHAMPUR: Corporators and Berhampur MLA R C Chyaupatnaik have urged Odisha Government to recommend Berhampur for the Smart City project.

They have submitted a memorandum in this regard to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Cyaupatnaik said today.

"The chief minister assured us that he will consider our demand sympathetically," said Chyaupatnaik.

The MLA said Berhampur, an old city with a history, fulfils all the criteria to be included in the Smart City project.
