Six policemen suspended after violence in Uttar Pradesh village
The protesters allegedly blocked traffic on the main Anoopshahar road and resorted to brick batting and several vehicles were damaged.

The incident occurred in Kastali village last evening following which Ramdarsh Yadav, incharge of Jawan police station, and five other policemen were suspended, police said today.
At least four policemen were injured in the incident, they said.
"We have taken the incident very seriously and action will be taken against all guilty persons involved in the entire incident," DIG, Aligarh range, Govind Agrawal told PTI.
According to the police, a villager belonging to a neighbouring village, Sumera yesterday noticed a van standing by the roadside which appeared to be carrying a consignment of meat.
He immediately informed the police but by the time the cops arrived, a large mob from the neighbouring village had gathered at the spot and allegedly assaulted the traffickers.

Later, the situation was brought under control and the alleged traffickers arrested by the police.
They include, Dal Singh, Vijay Singh, Vijay Pal, Ram Singh, Durga, Sharma Singh, Gobha, Soji Singh, Mohar Singh, Mohan Lal and Shobha. All of them hail from Rajasthan, they said.
