Six MPs not to take part in trust vote

Six members of the Lok Sabha will stay away from the trust vote on Tuesday.

NEW DELHI: Six members of the Lok Sabha will stay away from the trust vote on Tuesday.

As the House met to resume the debate on the confidence motion moved by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday, Speaker Somnath Chatterjee said the six members have sought leave of absence from the House today.

Chatterjee said he has granted them leave. However, he did not give the names of the members or the parties they belong.
