Six-day Intec begins at Codissia complex

The Ninth edition of International Industrial Trade Fair began here today, with countries like Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Canada putting up stalls at the fair, which is expected to clock a business of Rs 600 crore.

COIMBATORE: The Ninth edition of International Industrial Trade Fair began here today, with countries like Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Canada putting up stalls at the fair, which is expected to clock a business of Rs 600 crore.
The six-day 'INTEC-2006', would have around 402 participants, including 11 foreign nations like China, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand and the US.
The fair would provide an opportunity for industries to look for transfer of knowhow and technology and enhance their market, Chairman LG group of companies, L G Varadarajulu said at the inauguration.
There would also be a seminar on 'services for trade promotion and economic contacts with China,' organised by the India-China Chamber of Commerce tomorrow, Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) president, K Balachandran said.
