Siddhartha Das, Sheena Bohra's father surfaces

KOLKATA: In a dramatic development today, Siddhartha Das, the man who claimed himself to be the biological father of Sheena Bohra appeared before the media with his face masked and said that he wanted the culprit to be hanged till death. Das surfaced today after some of his relatives in Assam tipped off media about his residence at Dum Dum, the northern fringe of the city.

Das told the media persons that he is ready to appear before the Mumbai police for a DNA test and he would cooperate with police if it is required. He father added that he never married Indrani Mukherjea and they were in a live in relationship for three years in Guwahati till she left him in 1989.

Adding that Indrani had given birth to two children –Sheena and Mikahil – in 1988 and 1989 before leaving Guwahati, he said, “We met in college in Guwahati. She had always been an ambitious woman. But we spent nice time together in these three years. One fine morning, she suddenly left us saying she would be going to Shillong. Since then she never contacted me.”

Das is at present living a ‘normal life’ with his wife and two kids. “I was silent as I never wanted my normal family life to be disturbed by the past. I belong to humble background and I do not earn a huge amount of cash. I am apprehensive about my family’s security. Thatt is why I have covered my face. My employer might sack me if they come to know about my connections with Indrani and my land owner might through me out of the rented premises where I live with my family,” he added.

Ruling out his involvement in the conspiracy, he said, “In last twenty years, I spoke to Sheena once. I was not in touch with any of these two kids. And I am no way involved in this entire conspiracy.”
