He sought the BJP to give a clear reason for the exit of Yediyurappa. “What is the reason for BSY’s resignation? Old age or corruption? Many @BJPKarnataka leaders have publicly spoken about BSY’s corruption,” Siddaramaiah tweeted.
The Congress in Karnataka on Monday sought to know what led to chief minister BS Yediyurappa’s resignation, with opposition leader in the assembly Siddaramaiah wondering if the party central leadership asked him to step down because of age or corruption.

Siddaramaiah responded to the chief minister’s resignation with harsh words, terming him as the most corrupt politician in the history of Karnataka. “The next chief ministerial candidate from the BJP too will be corrupt. This replacement will not make any difference to the state,” he said.

He sought the BJP to give a clear reason for the exit of Yediyurappa. “What is the reason for BSY’s resignation? Old age or corruption? Many @BJPKarnataka leaders have publicly spoken about BSY’s corruption,” Siddaramaiah tweeted.


Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar spoke in support of Yediyurappa, blaming the BJP high command for his resignation. He accused the national BJP leadership of constantly troubling Yediyurappa from the day he took charge. “Yediyurappa did not get support from the high-command. They did not control who foul-mouthed him,” he said.
