Shivraj Singh Chouhan turns 'Baahubali' as BJP, Congress lock horns in a video battle in Madhya Pradesh

The political battle in Madhya Pradesh has taken a Bollywood-ish turn ahead of the state assembly polls due in December this year. A number of viral videos are making round on social media portraying Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as 'Baahubali' and Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia as 'Bhallaldev'.

CM Chouhan, who is shown in the light of a superhero in the video, is seen taking a pledge on the Constitution of India to "save the honour and wealth of the public".

The video shows opposition leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Kamal Nath as villains. Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been depicted as Kattappa in the viral video.


“I will not back down even if I have to give up my life,” the spoof video shows Chouhan as saying.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also be seen in the video, where he praises Chouhan for his welfare work in the state.

“There are individual IT experts in BJP and Congress who have been making spoof videos in favour of their leaders. This could be one of them,” BJP state IT in-charge Shivraj Dabi told TOI. Dabi, however, clarified that the video is not an official party release.

Recently, there has been a string of viral videos that portrayed CM Chouhan as either son of a farmer or superhero. However, Congress has also released video showing the CM Chouhan as 'Ghoshnaveer'.
