BHOPAL: After the ruling BJP's landslide victory in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls, Shivraj Singh Chouhan will take oath as the state Chief Minister for the third consecutive time on Thursday.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Jamboree Maidan here on December14, in the presence of senior BJP leaders, including former deputy prime minister L K Advani and party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Earlier in the day, Chouhan handed over his resignation from the post of Chief Minister to Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, official sources said.

However, the Governor asked him to remain in government in caretaker capacity until a new government is sworn in.

BJP has scored a hat-trick by winning 165 out of 230 in the assembly polls.
