NASHIK: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has personally invited Sadhus and seers for the Kumbh Mela at Ujjain to be held next year.

Yesterday, Chouhan with his wife Sadhana along with government officials visited the ongoing Kumbh Mela at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.

The Chief Minister met some mahants- including Mahant Ramkishordas Shastri of Digambar Akhada, Mahant Gyandas Maharaj of Nirwani Akhada.

He also met seers of other Akadhas and personally invited them for the 2016 Ujjain Kumbh Mela.

Meanwhile, seers and mahants, belonging to various Akhadas, who have been residing here since July, have started leaving the city after the third 'shahi snaan' (royal bath) held on September 18.

The third 'shahi snaan' at Trimbakeshwar will take place on September 25.
