Shiv Sena to vote against govt

Shiv Sena, with its 12 MPs, has decided to stay with the saffron camp and not to support the Manmohan Singh government if a trust vote was sought in Parliament.

MUMBAI: Putting to rest any faint hope for the Congress-led UPA, Shiv Sena, with its 12 MPs, has decided to stay with the saffron camp and not to support the Manmohan Singh government if a trust vote was sought in Parliament.

Shiv Sena has already made it clear that it was firmly with the NDA and will not support the Congress at any cost, Rajya Sabha MP and spokesman Sanjay Raut told mediapersons in Mumbai. When asked about the editorial in party mouthpiece Saamana on the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal about a fortnight ago, he said the editorial was critical of the Left parties holding the country to ransom and creating political instability over the nuclear deal. It did not mean that the Shiv Sena will support the Congress in the House, he added.
