Shiv Sena refutes Sanjay Nirupam allegations
MUMBAI: Mumbai Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam on Tuesday alleged that the Maharashtra government was “protecting” a Shiv Sena minister because he was involved in financial deals with Sena president Uddhav Thackeray’s family.

Nirupam produced documents to prove that Uddhav’s wife Rashmi and Ravindra Waikar’s wife Manisha had bought hundreds of acres of land worth Rs 900 crore. Nirupam claimed the BJP government was not ready to probe allegations against Waikar because of this.

Shiv Sena spokesperson Harshal Pradhan slammed Sanjay Nirupam. “We don’t give any value to what Nirupam says. These are all technical allegations. He has forgotten that he is making allegations against those who brought him into politics.”
