Shiv Sena, MNS lock main gate of defence aircraft factory

NASHIK: Shiv Sena activists locked main gate of the Ojhar-based state-owned air defence aircraft manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd ( HAL), demanding job opportunities for local youths.

Headed by Shiv Sena's sitting MLA from Niphad Anil Kadam and its district president Jayantrao Dinde, party activists staged protest demonstrations in front of the main entrance gate of the HAL factory.

"Police has been rushed to the spot. HAL employees are stuck inside the HAL factory because of the demonstrations," an Ojhar Police Station source said.

However, no offences have been registered at the Ojhar Police Station so far, he said.
