Shiv Sena MLC wants Maharashtra to regulate Pokemon Go
Neelam Gorhe on Friday raised the issue in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, seeking the state’s intervention to regulate the game.

Gorhe on Friday raised the issue in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, seeking the state’s intervention to regulate the game.
The game is being played by students and children, and "women are roaming outside their homes" to catch the game, Gorhe said. "The popularity of the game is so much that children from all educational institutions in the state are on the roads playing the game," she said.
“In search of this Pokemon the children are roaming as they wish, which could create accidents and also lead them to reaching an unsafe place,” said Gorhe.
She gave instances of how in many countries people playing the game have gotten themselves into trouble.
Gorhe said that the state should take into account the dangers posed by the game and also take into account the future of the students and place some restrictions on it.
The chairman of the legislative council, Ramraje Nimbalkar, asked the state to look into the issue and take relevant steps.
