Shiv Sena demands Google Doodle for Bal Thackeray
MUMBAI: In a demand that must have taken the US-based search engine giant by surprise, Shiv Sena has sought a " Google Doodle" for its late founder, Bal Thackeray, for his 89th birth anniversary on January 23.

Rahul Shewale, Sena MP from Mumbai South Central, said he has written to Google and to the senior BJP leaders, including Finance and I&B Minister Arun Jaitley and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad seeking their help in getting the doodle.

Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on the Google search's homepage that is intended to commemorate holidays, events, achievements and people.
