Thane: Soon after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting two doctors at a civic-run hospital in the district, Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre was hospitalised for 'chest pain', officials said on Thursday. Amid widespread condemnation of the incident at the Shastri Nagar hospital of the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation, the two doctors Mhatre is accused of assaulting have tendered their resignations, their colleagues said.
