Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray shifted to ICU

Bal Thackeray, who got admitted to Lilavati hospital in Bandra, was shifted to ICU on Wednesday because of some medical complications.

MUMBAI: Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray, who got admitted to Lilavati hospital in Bandra on Tuesday, was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) on Wednesday because of some medical complications. MNS Chief Raj Thackeray visited Lilavati hospital to meet Mr.Thackeray. The doctors refused to divulge details of his medical condition.

Just last week Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray went thru an angioplasty at Lilavati. He was given discharge on Monday after he showed satisfactory recovery. On Tuesday Sena Chief Bal Thackeray was taken to Lilavati because he suffered from acute stomach pain and indigestion. The Doctors said his blood pressure and other parameters were normal.

Mr. Thackeray was taken to the ICU on Wednesday morning because doctors observed some complications the details about Mr.Thackeray's medical condition were not revealed to media. Bal Thackeray's nephew Raj visited him in the afternoon. Shiv Sena spokesperson said there is no cause for worry but Mr.Thackeray may have to spend a few days in the hospital.
