PHAGWARA: Activists of Shiv Sena today burnt an effigy of Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his alleged "friendly overtures" to Sikh hardliners.

Led by Sena's Punjab vice president Inderjit Karwal, the activists raised slogans against Kejriwal and AAP.

They accused Kejriwal of having "political ties with supporters of Khalistan and friendly relationship with Muslim extremists". They urged Punjabis to shun the AAP and its leader Kejriwal.

Accusing Kejriwal of indulging in anti-national activities, they demanded a high-level probe into foreign funding of AAP.
