Shiromani Akali Dal slams Amarinder Singh for 'threatening' government officials
CHANDIGARH: Ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in Punjab today criticised former chief minister and Amritsar MP Amarinder Singh for allegedly threatening some government officials.

"It seems that Amarinder has not learnt any lesson from his past mistakes," the party said.

The officers of the state government are directly working under an elected government and he has no business to threaten them, the ruling party said in a statement.

SAD spokesman and Punjab Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema said that it was strange that the septuagenarian leader failed to understand the pulse of the people of Punjab.

The Minister said that the threat given by the Congress leader to the officers of the state has once again exposed his "anti-Punjab" face and his ulterior motive to work against development the state.
